‘Are you a poet, singer, rapper, writer, songwriter, comedian or playwright? Do you write your own material? If you wanna be a star, here is your chance! We need talent for Word Up!, a unique and funky event, now in its 4th year.
Word Up! is a youth (15-18yrs) performance event, organised to encourage first time performers of word based material, including MC’s, Rappers, songwriters, spoken word, comedians and poets. The event is arranged to support emerging writing talent, focusing on poetry, hip-hop rap and song writing.
Supportive environment, band, talent scouts, giveaways, food and much more!’
When: Sept 5th 7pm-10pm
Where: Corbans Estate Arts Centre, 426 Great North Road, Henderson
