Manukau Film Festival

This is a big hollaration :) to Leilani Kake of Creative Tangata Productions for not only rolling in the Manukau Film Festival but more importantly getting the ‘CHIEF‘ by Brett Wagner to screen here!!!! Woohoo girlfriend I sooooo can’t wait to see this one!!!

But a bigger hollaration to the up and coming talent (on tonight) we got out there ready to make waves with a ‘my mama thinks i’m talented’ attitude, groove and ready to prove, yes our mama’s know everything!!! So check, check, check it out PACIFIC SUPERHEROES from tonight till Saturday, woohoo the Big Screen in Mangere East!!!!

You can catch the ‘Chief’ on Friday evening, with replays of the entire festival line up set for Saturday. Its Guy Fawkes y’all, so the nights gotta explode South Auckland stylez!!! Mauri Ora!!! :D

Manukau’s first-ever film festival will focus on Manukau, its people, stories and its history. It will feature an assortment of new film, video, animation and moving image work by emerging and established film-makers. All the films have been specially selected by Leilani Kake

“Chief” A Short Film By Brett Wagner

‘CHIEF’ a short film starring Chief Sielu Avea just won the Best Dramatic Short Award at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival over the weekend. The award makes the locally-made film eligible to be nominated for an Academy Award.
