‘PULE FAKAMOTU’ celebrating Niue art exhibition

Fakalofa ahi atu PACIFIC SUPERHEROES, in celebration of Niues Constitution Day, Artstation will be exhibiting ‘Pule Fakamotu’ from October 8th-25th 2008. A group exhibition co-curatored by contemporary Niuean artists Cerisse Palalagi and Zora Feilo. ‘Pule Fakamotu’ which means to lead and take charge of your own affairs, brings togeather Auckland based Niuean artists who will explore the theme of Niuean self-governance, with printmaking, painting, photography, multi media and weaving.

What up PACIFIC SUPERHEROES its time to put on your dancing shoes and pull out those pingers to support whats all good about South Auckland and Hip Hop Culture. The DZIAH DANCE ACADEMY, straight outta Otara, South Auckland need our help!!!

An opportunity has come up for the academy members to get international exposure, respect and knowledge on the dance stage in Atlanta, USA.

‘Dziah Dance Academy are fundraising to attend the ATLANTA “Culture Shock 2008″ event in October. We are the very first New Zealand showcase attending this prominent event and a rare opportunity like this is not to be missed for New Zealand!

Major fundraising will be taking place in order to get to Atlanta with our team having to fundraise $50,000! Phew!!! Members from each of our elite crews will be selected to represent the Academy in Atlanta, performing alongside some of the best choreographers in the world.

Dance Workshops will be held and Dance Academy’s from all over the world will come together for a week to conference, perform, network, and learn from the best!
