TMD 2008 WORLD Champions!!!

Yes, Yes, Y’all PACIFIC SUPERHEROES hot off the press da bois from TMD Crew (SUK) have gone done it again :D and taken out the rest of the world!!! pweo! pweo! pweo!

‘New Zealand is the Winner of the Write4Gold World Finals 2008 and defend their Write4Gold 2006 title with a burner piece. 2nd place the Copenhagen Connection from Denmark and 3rd the Gipsy Kings from Romania’. WRITE4GOLD.

We gave you heads up on Charles aka Phat1 and the bois crusade in Germany, so big shout outs once again to Phat1 and the fam bams keeping South Auckland proud, Ngati Kahungunu proud, Aotearoa proud and wrecking it up on the World stage proud!!! ‘Re-Presenting The Pacific’: Pacific Island Film Festival

Here we go Pacific Superheroes the PACIFIC ISLAND FILM FESTIVAL in Hawaii Nei, O for Orsum!!! Chur thanks Louisa for the heads up, 275 special :).

‘The first annual Pacific Islands Film Festival at the Honolulu Design Center’s Cupola Theatre will showcase feature films, documentaries, and student short films from throughout the Pacific.

The Film Festival will take place from 6 - 9:15 p.m. nightly Friday, July 11th until Sunday, July 13th. The event is free and open to the public.

Throughout the three day festival, filmwork spanning the length and breadth of the Pacific will illustrate the diversity of Pacific island cultures. Organizers and filmmakers hope to engage audiences with thought-provoking films that offer insights into the lives of Pacific Islanders. Music, dance, and an after-film discussion are also part of the festival.

The Pacific Basin Institute at Pomona college, in association with the Center for Pacific Islands Studies and the School of Pacific and Asian Studies at the University of Hawai`i and Pacific Islanders in Communications, presents Re-Presenting the Pacific: First Pacific Islands Film Festival’

PHAT1 from TMD Crew: Defending World Title

Big ups for our boi Charles Williams (Ngati Kahungunu) aka Phat1 from South Auckland, yeah yeah! He’s currently in Germany with the TMD Crew to defend their Write4Gold World Graffitti Title! Yes, Yes, Y’all dis is one dedicated artist for our kids out south to follow into the graf scene where fame is on a International Worldwide Scale!

The 6th Write4Gold graffiti world finals are held at the ‘SPLASH’ festival in Pouch Peninsula, Leipzig from July 11th- 13th. With 8 European teams battling it out for 4 final round spots on Friday 11th. The next day being fight night for Charles and the boys defending their title against a total of 6 crews (the 4 European qualifiers and 2 World qualifiers - DMT Crew/Brisbane, STYLEKONSTUKTOR/Moscow).

Show your support Pacific Superheroes and spread the word!!! Its gonna be a tough fight this round for the boys but fingers crossed next week we can be celebrating a 2nd World Title! Raize Tha Roof 2008

Come, come and get cha’ dance on pplz ‘Raize tha Roof’ is set to hit our secondary students in Auckland on August 22nd at The Edge, Aotea Centre. A student organised event to challenge participating schools in dance, art, music and fashion, with a hip hop influence. MEAN!
